Microblading Near Me: Why Location Is Last For Choosing Your Artist

“Microblading near me” is the best way for you to find the closest microblading artist – that’s for sure. But finding the closest microblading artist is very different than finding the best microblading artist for you. It’s great when both happen, but it’s not always guaranteed.

Let’s begin with one simple question. I want you to take a quick second, consider it thoroughly, and then answer to yourself before moving on:

Knowing microblading is a procedure that is done to your face, do you care more about how conveniently located your microblading artist is? Or do you care more about their ability to make you feel comfortable and do a good job for you?

Keep your answer in your head and by the end of this, see if your position has changed or if you feel more confident in your “microblading near me” search.

The “Microblading Near Me” Dilemma

My main priority is to make sure you have the best experience as I can possibly give you. Some clients want more information, some want less. It all just depends on you. So below I will lay out the top 6 things to be looking for when you are considering your microblading artist:

#1. What are other people saying about them?

Always be sure to see what other clients are saying about a microblading artist’s work. Happy clients will tell you all about their experiences but even more important than how close an artist is to you should be how the community around them rates their work.

You can find a link to my public, honest reviews by clicking here. It includes reviews from Facebook, Google, and Yelp.

The beauty of reviews are that they are a two way street. You’ll get candid feedback. Look for other key descriptions of your artist that fit what you are looking for like “work ethic” or a “welcoming attitude”. This takes us perfectly into my next entry for you to consider – do they make you feel welcome and are they inviting?

#2. Call & Talk To Them

So much of microblading is built on trust. If an artist doesn’t make you feel welcome and enable you to have the freedom to ask questions, it’s unrealistic to think you are going to have a good experience. Your microblading artist must be talented, yes, but they should be as excited about your microblading as you are. If I end up becoming the person you trust for your microblading, I make it one of my major priorities to make sure any outstanding questions you may have are answered and you feel like you always have an understanding of what is going on.

Talking to them will also help you see how much of an expert they are in their field. This transitions us nicely into content – keep reading 🙂

#3. Read The Content They’ve Posted…If Any

Your microblading artist doesn’t have to have an instagram page or a blog set up with content on it to prove they are an expert in their field or a talented artist – but it helps. Plenty of very skilled artists have neither. But in order for you to minimize risk, you should make sure to find artists who put their thoughts out there.

You want to be working with the best of the best – and anyone who can make a sophisticated and technical topic like microblading engaging and simple is a great way to measure their expertise. It’s also a great way to get a feel for their personality. This content could be a mix of things ranging from videos, to Instagram photos, or even blogs like the one you are reading now.

#4. Check Credentials, Method, & License(s)

Many microbladers today have taken advantage of the new norm which is accelerated weekend classes that end up forming the entire foundation of their training. I don’t know about you, but for something as serious as semi-permanent facial work, I would make sure your artist has extensive training and regularly attends ongoing learning opportunities to stay relevant to new techniques, procedure, and perfect her craft.

As an esthetician I have the unique advantage of incorporating my knowledge and understanding of the skin in all my treatments, which helps me to deliver long lasting, beautiful results. I maintain the highest standards in sanitization for each and every one of my services, with barrier control being paramount for ensuring fast procedure healing and outstanding treatment longevity. Your health and safety is my chief concern.

Aside from my esthetician license which I hold, I earned my microblading training certification from Phi Brows, the leading microblading training institute in both Europe and the United States. I had the privilege of studying under the eminent Kler Rosenberg and pursued further training and certification under the guidance of one of the most respected European microblading artists, Liucija Pen. Always pursuing new techniques and methods I have also studied with Mary Ritcherson and Taryn Darling from Shades and Strokes in Las Vegas.

#5. History Repeats Itself

This one is likely the most obvious on the list but it’s still worth covering. Be sure to be looking at an artist’s previous work. An artist’s portfolio is full of design that match the desires of their clients – that is true. But a REALLY good artist understands that a major role of ours is to help you achieve your desired look – not just copy like you would a stencil.

Because microblading is highly technical and requires a significant amount of intricate work, a talented artist is able to produce stunning results regardless of the various preferences across clients. If the underlying technical skills are there, you’ll be able to see consistency in an artist’s portfolio even if you are not an expert yourself.

So, don’t be shy about wanting to see their work. It should concern you if they hide it. And don’t worry if you don’t really know what you are looking for. The key is to be on the lookout for things you definitely DON’T want/like.

#6. Near You – But Not Because Of Proximity

Last but not least, I would say to make sure to check the location of the artist.

“But Eva, you just said location shouldn’t be a major priority, all things considered!”

Yes, you’re right 🙂 However, the point was if an artist is closer than another artist you are considering, their proximity to you shouldn’t be the deciding factor. The reason for this is your microblading artist should be embedded within the community. This is always a good sign of a professional who you know is committed to their craft. There are plenty of hobbyists out there.

At Natural Look By Eva, you are getting an artist who is all in on her career and perfecting her craft to give you the best experience possible. I was born and raised in The Czech Republic. Despite being in the US for two decades now, I know first hand the value of working for every single opportunity and believe work ethic is what has helped me find my success in microblading. With me, you are not getting someone who does this part time or is just an extra piece of income. Plan B distracts from Plan A and my focus as well as my commitment to microblading since I opened my doors has been steady and unshifting.

With that in mind, if you are considering microblading and in the Bolingbrook, Naperville, Plainfield, Aurora, or Joliet area, give me a call or text at (708) 268-4642 we can make sure you feel comfortable with me as your microblading artist 🙂 I am located at 619 E. Boughton Rd. Room #9

Microblading Cost: How Much, Is It Worth The Price, & The Affordable Truth

Microblading cost is one of the more common questions that I get asked.

“Eva – how much does it cost to get microblading done? What is the price I will have to pay? Is it worth it for me?”

I have been performing this art for a long time – and over the years, my answer has evolved. Over the past couple of years alone I have gotten to work with hundreds upon hundreds of clients who inevitably wrestle with this question and not every single one has said yes.

But the ones that ultimately do, see benefits LONG after the initial yes. What’s interesting is that the next most common conversation I have with clients revolves around some variation of the following:

“I can’t believe I waited so long to do this Eva!”

So the idea of whether something is “worth” it comes down to what you find valuable. It’s important to me I help you make the best decision for you which may mean you want to think about it more. But atleast I can provide you with the best information possible.

I want you to do one thing for me though – answer these two very brief questions and then return to these questions after you read this blog. This is a very quick way to help you understand better if the microblading cost is going to be worth it to you:

Is Microblading Worth The Cost?

Microblading costs and prices can range in the Bolingbrook, Naperville, and Plainfield areas but my main priority is to provide an affordable service first. I have been successful in running Natural Look By Eva due to always putting you, the client, first.

Here is a list of the most common reasons customers say the microblading cost is well worth the investment and then some:

  1. Wake up every single morning looking refreshed, lively, and with perfect eyebrows.
  2. Enhanced natural beauty will have people wondering what you changed that has you looking like you’re glowing.
  3. Look in the mirror and start each morning/end each day feeling like your most beautiful self. Our clients repeatedly tell us the positive impact this has on their life – a benefit they weren’t even originally considering but one they are incredibly grateful to have.
  4. Saves you time, energy, and money spending your precious morning time to yourself trying to perfect a shape or replicate a shade.
  5. Achieve the look you’ve always wanted and desired rather than have to adjust to aspects of your natural brows. This is especially important for anyone who suffers from sparse brows and is insecure about them. Now, microblading can give you that look you’ve been trying to create.
